Is there a donation receipt?
Yes. A formal donation receipt is required for donations of €300 or more to be tax-deductible. We will gladly send you this receipt. For this, we need your address. For donations up to €300, a simplified receipt is sufficient. This means that a bank statement or transfer receipt is sufficient. You can print a donation receipt as a reminder. You only need to submit the receipts for your donations, which you can claim on your tax return, if your tax office requests them.
Is there a minimum number of pixels I can donate?
Yes. Everyone participating in our campaign must select at least one pixel on our digital canvas – each pixel costs one euro – and color it in their choice of color.
Is there a maximum number of pixels that can be donated?
Yes. Initially, 2.3 million pixels are available. As the campaign progresses and more donors participate, this number will decrease accordingly.
Can someone overwrite my pixels?
No. Once selected, pixels remain. After successful donation processing, the pixels cannot be overwritten. They are reserved for approximately 30 minutes during processing. Pixels are only forfeited if payment is not received within this reservation period.

Yes.
What exactly will the money be used for?
The donations will benefit Rotary International’s End Polio Now campaign to combat polio. The core of the campaign is vaccinations against this preventable, incurable disease.
Are there administrative costs?
Yes. The Pixel4Polio initiators set up the project on a volunteer basis. Transaction fees are charged for payment processing and infrastructure operation.

The finished image will be auctioned off. The proceeds will also go to Rotary International’s anti-polio campaign.
